Under the Pier | Houston-Austin-San Antonio Glamour

Afternoon Glamour on the Beach

This is one of a series of glamour images taken along the Texas Gulf coast at Port Aransas. We timed this session to get the warm color of the setting sun falling upon the pilings of the pier.

The magazine quality look of this image was created using two studio strobes with light modifiers to shape the light and create this beautifully flattering light.

The darkness of the underside of the pier creates drama and draws our eye to the face of the subject. The sunlit columns then take our attention away into the distance, but the presence of the model's arm, obscuring what is beyond, causes us to ponder what lies at piers end.
